Threat

Yggdrasil is the great tree that holds the entire Norse universe together. It is an immense ash whose branches reach into the heavens and whose three roots stretch down to separate realms and their wells, binding all Nine Worlds into one. Every day the gods gather to hold council in its shade, at the Well of Urd among its roots. The tree is never at peace: an eagle roosts in its crown, a dragon named Nidhogg gnaws forever at its roots, and a squirrel races between them carrying their insults up and down the trunk.
