He first haunted Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in 1966, around an old wartime munitions site the locals call the TNT area. Soon after, the town's Silver Bridge collapsed into the Ohio River and killed forty-six people, and everyone understood the warning too late. The Mothman is still seen from time to time, and his appearance is never good news.
