The Dover Demon haunts the town of Dover, Massachusetts, where it first appeared over two nights in April 1977. Three teenagers each saw it separately, describing a small figure about four feet tall with an oversized head and glowing eyes set in a face with no nose or mouth. The first to encounter it was seventeen-year-old Bill Bartlett. Their sightings fell in a rough line across two miles of the town, as though the creature had walked its own path through Dover in the dark.
