The Boneless has no shape of its own, and that is the whole of the horror. It comes from the folklore of Somerset, England, as a foul-smelling, rubbery mass that shifts and changes so constantly the eye can never fix on it. On the darkest nights, or when the ocean tide comes in, it stalks travelers caught out alone and throws its formless weight against the doors and windows of houses. Those who have seen it clearly are said to have been driven out of their minds by the sight.
