Menace

The chupacabra stalks the farmland of Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the American Southwest, hunting livestock in the dark. It kills for blood alone, opening two clean punctures in an animal's throat and draining it dry while leaving the meat untouched. A herd can look healthy at dusk and be found half-dead by morning, the fallen animals stiff and bloodless in the field. Its name is Spanish for "goat-sucker."
