Menace

The Yarri, also called the Queensland tiger, hunts the rainforests of northeastern Australia. It is about the size of a dog, striped, with a long tail and a savage set of fangs, and it is far fiercer than an animal that size should be. Both the Aboriginal peoples and the settlers who came later have reported it, most notably the explorer Carl Lumholtz in the 1880s. The rainforest of far north Queensland is thick, old, and little traveled, and it hides the Yarri well.
