The chepysh is a small, quick creature from Russian folklore that wants to get into your house. It lives in abandoned buildings, empty barns, and tall grass, always looking for a way indoors. No opening is too small for it: a crack in the wall, a window left ajar, or a torn piece of mosquito netting will do. Once it is inside with you, it stays out of sight, which is exactly how it prefers to work.
