Threat

The Gerota lives in the Catlins, at the far southern tip of New Zealand's South Island. It looks like a possum, but with a pair of horns and jutting fangs that no ordinary possum has. It shows itself very rarely, most recently in 2011, and little else is known about it. It clearly prefers not to be found.
