Threat

The Grootslang, whose name means "big snake," comes from the Richtersveld region of South Africa and the lore of the Khoekhoe people. According to legend, the gods made the first Grootslang far too powerful, so they split it into the elephants and snakes that exist today, but one escaped whole and bred all the rest. It is an enormous creature, part elephant and part serpent, that lives in a cave called the Wonder Hole. There it guards a hoard of diamonds and lures elephants inside to crush and devour them.
